Tube cutting
Specify finished length, length tolerance and cut-end squareness. Identify any end that locates an insert or bracket.
DIRECT FROM THE WORKSHOP / PRACTICAL GUIDANCE
Bring the finished part into the conversation: cut lengths, drilled holes, slots and profiles specified alongside the material.
Discuss your requirements ↗Specify finished length, length tolerance and cut-end squareness. Identify any end that locates an insert or bracket.
Show hole diameters, positions, edge distances and datums. For a hole through two walls, show the alignment requirement.
Provide the outline, thickness, holes and visible face. State weave orientation where it matters to appearance or loading.
Send a dimensioned PDF and, if available, a DXF or STEP file. Include units, drawing revision, quantity, material or laminate requirements and delivery country. Attach files to your enquiry email; this website does not upload drawings.
Identify critical dimensions rather than applying an unnecessarily tight tolerance to every feature. Tell us how the part fits, bonds or bolts into its assembly.
A clean-looking edge is only one check. Agree the inspection of cut ends, hole entry and exit, dimensions and fit. Where loads matter, define the required verification before the machining specification is approved.
Ask for material, setup, machining, finishing, sample and shipping costs to be identified in the quotation. Feasibility and lead time are confirmed after reviewing the drawing.
You don’t need a complete specification to start a conversation. Tell us the application and what you know so far.
